Makeup had always been a fun and creative hobby for me in my youth, and in 2015, I decided I to begin my professional journey as a makeup artist. I became Certified Makeup Artist through GlamLab Makeup Studios, and shortly after began a two-year role as an Appointment Makeup Artist at Sephora.  From there, my love cosmetics, and working with clients grew.

Being of Indian descent, I take great pride in my culture and realize that one of the many ways we enjoy expressing our vibrant heritage and passion is through makeup and the world of color. As I branched out to start my own brand, I realized what resonated with me the most is the Punjabi culture and my very Punjabi family. Being the youngest of my siblings, and one of the youngest out of 50 first cousins, made me the baby of the family, and having light brown eyes gave my eyes the appearance of "cat eyes" ("billo") in the sun. This got me the nickname of "Billo Baby" which my dad still lovingly calls me to this day. 
 

To me, BilloBaby represents my contribution to our culture in helping others feel confident in their unique beauty, which many times is often overlooked. I strive to be someone who supports them in knowing and understanding their challenges in finding the right makeup, which is still a huge issue in many communities today. Through BilloBaby, I hope to positively impact many lives, and spread joy in my clients as they find their confidence in beauty.
